This position has the flexibility of working remotely in addition to in person, as driven by client needs, along with scheduling your own hours of work. Although this casual position has no guaranteed hours, it is likely that you will build up to working 10-30 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Conduct music-based individual and family therapy sessions
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings as needed

Data collection:

• Collect and analyze data related to client progress and treatment outcomes
• Use assessment tools to gather information about clients' strengths and needs
• Document data in client records for tracking purposes

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited music therapy program.
• Registered Music Therapist (MTA) in good standing with the Canadian Association of Music Therapists (or eligibility for registration)
• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children and families in a therapeutic setting.
• Experience working with neurodivergent children and youth (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
