This role will support an assigned senior leader (Director and above) in executing strategic priorities for the business/group. Gathers and integrates information to promote the effective and profitable operation of the business / group. Works with stakeholders to understand the operating environment & emerging trends and provides planning, support and recommendations to improve operational effectiveness and tracks achievement of objectives. Supports the effective management of risk, including operational and compliance risk and management of the attestation/reporting process specific to the business. Provides strategic counsel on business events and directs and coordinates the logistics of these events. Supports the development of effective, consistent communications for the business/group senior leader and for the leadership team.
- Breaks down strategic problems and provides input into business decisions through insights and recommendations as a trusted advisor, by building an in-depth understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Works closely with and build effective relationships with senior leaders and other internal or external stakeholders, and ensures alignment between stakeholders.
- Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives; ensures solutions are aligned with business and enterprise goals.
- Provides input into the planning & implementation of operational programs; assists in the development of strategies and plans to ensure readiness to meet changing business needs to support future growth.
- Supports the determination of priorities, current and planned initiatives in partnership with the business and supports requirements related to strategic management for the business.
- Monitors and tracks performance by designing and producing regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards; identifies and addresses emerging issues by integrating information from multiple sources to enable analysis and streamlined work to inform decision making.
- Builds change management programs of varying scope and type, including planning, execution, stakeholder management, evaluation and sustainment of framework and initiatives.
- Applies expertise and works independently on a range of complex tasks; thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
- Conducts independent review, analysis, and resolution of strategic issues.
- Implements changes in response to shifting trends.
- Executes work to deliver timely, accurate and efficient service.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
*Qualifications:*
- Typically between 5 – 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
- Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
- Collaboration and team skills – In-depth.
- Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.
- Influence skills - In-depth.
- Data driven decision making - In-depth.
- Able to manage ambiguity.
Salary:
$69, $129,000.00
Pay Type:
Salaried
The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
