Matrix Mechanical is hiring a licensed electrician to join our multi-trade install crew.

We're looking for a licensed electrician who takes pride in doing clean, code-compliant work and wants to be part of a tightly coordinated install team. You'll handle the electrical scope on a wide range of jobs — including heat pumps, water heaters, furnaces, and boilers — and collaborate closely with HVAC, plumbing, and gas techs to keep projects moving efficiently.

This isn't a role where you'll be standing around or waiting for a call. You'll be an integral part of the crew, actively contributing to high-quality installations across all divisions.

What the Role Looks Like

You'll be working on residential and light commercial installations alongside experienced mechanical tradespeople. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Completing electrical scope for ductless and ducted heat pump installations
  • Wiring electric water heaters, furnaces, and boilers on plumbing and gas jobs
  • Running circuits, installing disconnects, and ensuring all electrical work meets code
  • Supporting job flow with layout, setup, lifting, and mechanical coordination
  • Troubleshooting field issues in collaboration with lead technicians
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional job site
  • Using tablets or smartphones for job tracking and documentation

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed electrician (Red Seal, or equivalent in New Brunswick)
  • Experience with heat pump installs is an asset — but we'll train the right person
  • Comfortable wiring HVAC and plumbing equipment, including water heaters and boilers
  • Willing to work physically and contribute outside electrical scope when needed
  • Clear communicator with a team-first attitude
  • Familiar with hand/power tools, ladders, and safety best practices
  • Tech-savvy enough to use a tablet or mobile app in the field
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Someone who values craftsmanship, safety, and team accountability
