Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in daily store functions, supervising staff, and maintaining a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

  • Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales strategies
  • Assist with recruiting, training, and developing team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
  • Manage payroll, cash handling, and bookkeeping tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Supervise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor team productivity to meet sales goals
  • Oversee POS systems, pricing strategies, and purchasing activities to optimize profitability
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and store standards
  • Lead marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store traffic and sales
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints professionally, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members
  • Assist in budgeting, sales management, and store planning efforts to support business growth

Experience

  • Proven supervisory or managerial experience within retail sales or store management roles
  • Strong knowledge of merchandising, POS systems, pricing strategies, and inventory control
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
  • Experience with recruiting, training & development, payroll processing, and administrative tasks
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team management and sales growth
  • Proficiency in budgeting, bookkeeping, math skills for financial accuracy, and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
  • Prior experience in retail management or sales management is highly desirable
