dynamic team. As an integral part of our service department, you will help
oversee daily operations, foster customer relationships, and assist in guiding
our team to success.

Position Summary:

As the Assistant Service Manager, you will work closely with
the Fixed Operations Manager to ensure seamless service department operations.
This role includes direct customer interaction, managing service appointments,
assisting with warranty claims, and supporting the development of the service
team. You will play a key role in exceeding service standards, driving service
sales, and promoting customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relations: Assist in building
    strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and
    providing exceptional service experiences.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor
    and motivate service advisors and technicians to meet dealership goals and
    deliver top-quality service.
  • Service Operations: Oversee daily
    operations, ensuring efficiency and coordinating technician workflows.
  • Sales & Marketing Support: Collaborate
    in promoting service offers, manufacturer incentives, and warranties to
    increase sales.
  • Quality Control: Review work orders,
    customer concerns, and technician performance to ensure quality vehicle
    repairs and services.
  • Warranty Administration: Help manage
    warranty claims and communicate with customers regarding warranty work.
  • Exceeding Service Standards: Assist the
    service department in consistently exceeding established service standards
    for customer satisfaction.

    of automotive systems, repairs, and Chevrolet/Cadillac products.
  • Technical Expertise: Ability to assist in
    diagnosing vehicle issues based on technician input and customer feedback.
  • Leadership Abilities: Capable of guiding
    teams to improve customer service and technical skills.
  • Warranty Knowledge: Familiarity with General
    Motors' warranty guidelines and processes.
  • Administrative Skills: Proficient in
    reviewing and managing service orders and maintaining accurate records.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in the automotive service
    industry, ideally within a General Motors, Chevrolet, or Cadillac
    dealership.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and
    problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented individual who
    thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • A customer-first mindset with a commitment to
    ensuring satisfaction and providing high-quality service.

What the Work is Like:

  • Direct interaction with customers, service
    advisors, and technicians to ensure service and repair needs are met.
  • Handling customer complaints, concerns, and
    escalations with a focus on resolution.
  • Overseeing daily operations, managing service
    appointments, and assisting in the review of work orders for accuracy.
  • Participating in performance reviews, setting
    goals, and helping develop strategies to improve service department
    operations.
  • Collaborating with the Fixed Operations Manager to
    implement marketing campaigns and improve customer satisfaction
    initiatives.
