As a
Compliance Associate
, reporting directly to the Vice President of Compliance, you will support the legal and compliance team in partnering with all areas of the company to address compliance questions and issues. You will work alongside the legal and compliance team to help managers across the company navigate internal policies and procedures, ethical best-practices, and client requirements. You'll also assist in evaluating the effectiveness of internal processes and support the ongoing enhancement of the compliance program.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years in a compliance role or related work
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to act with integrity and maintain confidentiality.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

The essential responsibilities and duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist the Compliance team to complete client and prospect due diligence requests.
  • Support in responses to clients and prospects on compliance-related matters.
  • Coordinate responses to business partner and government compliance-related inquiries.
  • Monitor ongoing training of employees to ensure compliance with the company's internal compliance programs.
  • Support the Compliance and People teams in responding to employee compliance-related matters, including recurring compliance attestations and/or sharing updates on our compliance programs.
  • Proactively identify new technologies or efficiencies in workflows to improve the company's compliance programs.
  • Support the Compliance team with the enforcement of compliance policies and protocols on behalf of the company.
  • Coordinate mandatory workplace training programs for new hires and staff, annually.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of an Internal Auditing program.
  • Assist with the management of the company's vendor management program.
  • Collaborate with the Legal and Compliance team to respond to risk and carry out corrective action plans for problem resolution.
  • Conduct special projects to develop, and support new compliance initiatives, as assigned.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this permanent, full-time role is between $55,000 - $60,000 CAD. The salary is complemented with a comprehensive benefit program, including employer-paid health and dental coverage, life insurance, and a pension plan that starts three months after the hire date.
