22DOGS is seeking an experienced and well-connected Head of Production / Executive Producer to help establish and lead our core production team in Toronto.

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for a senior production leader with deep roots in the Ontario VFX community to shape the foundation of a dynamic and ambitious studio environment.

The role blends strategic oversight with hands-on production management. You will serve as our onsite representative at a local partner studio, where our Toronto operations will be based. This position is ideal for someone who has held a Head of Production role, with a strong understanding of both production pipelines and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the build-out of 22DOGS' core production team in Toronto.
  • Represent 22DOGS onsite at our Toronto-based studio partner, acting as the primary point of contact for studio operations.
  • Manage high-level production planning, resourcing, and delivery schedules across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic studio planning and long-term production goals.
  • Maintain close relationships with Ontario's VFX talent pool, leveraging your local network to support recruitment and team development.
  • Oversee production budgets, forecasts, and timelines, ensuring excellence in execution.
    Support business development and client relationships as needed in an Executive Producer capacity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as Head of Production in the VFX industry.
  • Track record of success in, or transition toward, an Executive Producer role.
  • Deep familiarity with the Ontario VFX market and local talent pool.
  • Established network of artists, producers, and vendors in the region.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while aligning closely with global leadership.
    Based in the Greater Toronto Area with the ability to work onsite at the partner studio as required.
