Financial Accountant

Overview

Northview Consulting provides high-quality fractional support to companies in a variety of industries. If you have a passion for providing reliable financial information that can be the basis for decision making, then this may be the right role for you.

This Financial Accountant role is tailored toward a dynamic individual who can take ownership of the specific accounting processes and produce timely, accurate financial reporting for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare, distribute, and collect monthly billing invoices

· Record and arrange settlement of vendor invoices

· Prepare bank account reconciliations

· Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts

· Prepare monthly financial reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

· Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to assist with business decisions

· Assist in the preparation of operating budgets

· Liaise with clients and vendors with regards to accounts payable and receivable

· Assist and support team members as required

Requirements

· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field

· At least 2 years' experience in a similar role (telecommunications industry and/or IT services provider industry experience would be an asset)

· Strong knowledge of GAAP and reporting standards

· Proficient in Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

· Proficient using accounting software (QuickBooks, Dynamics, etc)

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

· Strong organizational skills, with an ability to work collaboratively and independently as needed.

· Experience of working in a shared-services or professional services firm with multiple client responsibilities would be an asset.
