Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Customer Support and Garden Layout Assistant. This role combines excellent customer service with strong analytical and design abilities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with numbers, spatial layouts, and conceptual designs to help support garden-planning tasks and assist in pricing out jobs. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from your home office in the Chilliwack or Abbotsford area.

Timeline:

Starting Date: Early January 2026 (to be discussed)

Work hours: 12-4PM (additional hours available during busy seasons)

Responsibilities:

Customer Support & Administration

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via email and phone.
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently, maintaining a high standard of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, communications, and transaction logs.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, file management, scheduling, and meeting note-taking.
  • Manage, engage with, and post on social media accounts.
  • Stay updated on product offerings, seasonal services, and company policies.

Design & Garden-Planning Support

  • Assist in conceptual garden layouts, spacing plans, and preliminary design based on our garden products, configurations and sizes
  • Calculate quantities, sizes, and material needs for projects.
  • Support pricing estimates by gathering measurements, running basic calculations, and organizing cost inputs.
  • Utilize our garden design software to ensure accurate and clear project documentation.
  • Contribute to improving internal processes related to estimating, planning, and layout preparation.

Requirements:

  • Strong math skills and comfort working with measurements, spacing, and basic calculations.
  • Ability to visualize concepts and contribute to simple garden or spatial layouts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with an Apple MacBook/iPhone and familiarity with platforms such as Shopify, Gmail, Slack, and CRMs.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of gardening is a strong asset; interest in plant selection and outdoor design is a bonus.
  • Experience with pricing, estimating, or measuring projects is an asset but can be trained.
