Carlson Construction Group is seeking a Safety Manager with experience in Land, Marine, Subcontracts, or Mechanical disciplines to join our dynamic team in North Vancouver. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and success of exciting upcoming projects—including major marine terminals, bridge foundations, and large-scale infrastructure upgrades that will shape the future of BC's coastline and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain safety records and monitor incident trends.
  • Review safety documentation and provide feedback.
  • Support safety planning and conduct worker orientations.
  • Lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor compliance and enforce safety regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and investigations.
  • Keep management informed of safety issues.
  • Promote safe working conditions across all project sites.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of field safety experience (industrial construction preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Results-driven with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to work shifts and travel outside the Lower Mainland.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
  • Professional safety designation (e.g., CRSP, RCSO, CHSC, CSS, CIH, ROH).
  • Occupational First Aid Level 3 (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with BCCSA's C.O.R. program and auditing.
  • High ethical standards and sound judgment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
