Middle & Senior School French Teacher

Full-time (1.0 EFT) position to commence September 2026

The successful candidate will work within a team of language teachers to further a positive learning environment and robust academic program for our students. The successful candidate will lead in aligning practices across divisions. They will demonstrate a superior ability to holistically engage students in learning the French Language curriculum, to assess oral and written language development with integrity and authenticity, and to foster a passion among students for learning the French language. They will carry out planning, lesson delivery, assessment and student support as well as communicate with parents and advisors in a timely and effective manner. Experience with preparing students to sit for the Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française (DELF) is considered an asset.

The candidate will be part of a dynamic campus environment where highly motivated students and dedicated staff combine to create an engaging, inclusive community culture. Our faculty contribute to both curricular and co-curricular programming, supporting academics and school life opportunities for students. SJR is a technology-enabled school and each teacher promotes student access to education through the provision of a blended learning environment. The candidate must hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate or be eligible to obtain one.
