Job Summary:

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental professionals while ensuring an excellent experience for our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with patient procedures, managing dental equipment, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining patient records. You will also help educate patients on proper oral hygiene and provide general support to the dental office team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures by preparing and maintaining the dental environment, including arranging instruments and materials.
  • Take digital dental x-rays, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict hygiene standards.
  • Help with patient comfort, explaining procedures and answering questions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring timely appointment scheduling and follow-ups.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and prevention strategies.
  • Handle dental office administration duties, including managing supplies and inventory.
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out, including insurance verification and billing as needed.
  • Stay current on the latest dental technologies and practices to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in dental assisting and X-ray certification.
  • Previous dental office experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of dental office procedures and hygiene protocols.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.97-$28.54 per hour
