Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing installation, repair, and maintenance. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work safely at heights. The Roofer will be responsible for ensuring that roofs are structurally sound and watertight, contributing to the overall integrity of buildings.

Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using various materials such as two ply bitumen, shingles, metal, and tiles.
• Perform inspections to identify roof issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively to complete roofing tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to specifications.
• Apply caulking and sealants to prevent leaks and enhance durability.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and general laborers, to complete projects efficiently.
• Conduct heavy lifting and maneuvering of roofing materials safely on job sites.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roofer or in a related maintenance person role is preferred.
• Familiarity with various roofing materials and techniques is essential.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Strong skills in using hand tools and power tools safely.
• Capable of performing heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• Knowledge of safety protocols when working at heights is crucial.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
