Role Description

As a Fundraising Policy Consultant, you will play a key role in developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies for CASSA. You will create comprehensive fundraising policies, identify funding opportunities, write grant proposals, and strengthen donor relationships. The role includes conducting research on funding trends and building capacity within the organization to meet financial goals. This is a remote contract role with the flexibility to work independently while contributing to CASSA's mission of advancing equity and justice.

Qualifications

  • Experience in fundraising strategy development, grant writing, and identifying funding opportunities
  • Strong understanding of policy development and building institutional frameworks to support fundraising goals
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills for identifying funding trends and opportunities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage donors, stakeholders, and team members
  • Experience in the nonprofit or social justice sector, particularly with marginalized or South Asian communities, is an asset
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms for project management, fundraising, and communication
