Job Description

Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence.Greet, assist, and direct staff and visitors as needed.Protect clients, property, and assets by carrying out assigned duties.Perform interior and exterior patrols, respond to emergencies, and assist as required.Document and report incidents, investigations, and daily activities.Monitor CCTV, enforce access control, and manage keys.Support patient watches and enforce hospital policies, parking, and smoking by-laws.Conduct monthly safety inspections and report deficiencies.Collaborate effectively with team members and work independently when required.Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Valid Ontario Security Guard LicenseValid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit TestProof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)Steps to get your immunization records:

Immunization Form:KHSC Immunization FormsCompleted immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)Minimum 6 months healthcare security experience preferredMinimum 6 months of non-healthcare security experience preferredMust be able to commit to full-time availability for no less than 6 monthsEnglish proficiency (oral & written) is requiredBilingualism (English/French) is considered an assetAuthorized to legally work in Canada6+ months of customer service experience is considered an assetMust be able to provide certifications in Stay SafeApplicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite.

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid Ontario Security License

Valid Certification in First Aid, CPR and AED
