We are seeking an experienced and reliable Skilled Roof Installer to join our Service Department. This role is responsible for performing roof repairs, maintenance, inspections, and emergency service work on a variety of commercial roofing systems. A roofer in the service department specializing in TPO roofing is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing systems on commercial and residential buildings. The role involves working with single-ply membranes, ensuring proper insulation, and efficiently addressing leaks or damages.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inspection & Assessment: Evaluate existing TPO roofing systems for damage, wear, or leaks.
• Installation & Repairs: Apply TPO membranes, weld seams using heat, and ensure proper adhesion.
• Maintenance: Perform routine checks, clean surfaces, and apply protective coatings.
• Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA regulations, wear protective gear, and ensure a secure work environment.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients regarding roofing issues, solutions, and maintenance tips.
• Sealing leaks using waterproofing materials.
• Replacing damaged structures, such as rotting joists or plywood.
• Cleaning and maintaining roofs by removing debris, moss, or algae.
• Assist and help other team members with job requirements if needed
• Maintain Health & Safety standards and follow safety regulations

Job Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in Commercial Roofing for the Service department
• Experience with TPO roofing applications
• Ability to be a reliable team player
• Have a valid Driver's license and a reliable method of transportation
• Skilled in the use of hot air heat welders, robot welders, tear-off equipment, hydraulic hoists, and other roofing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and detect leaks
• Weight handling up to 45 kg (100 lbs.)
• Knowledge of Ontario safety regulations
• Access to tools/equipment and CSA-approved safety gear
• Must be flexible with working hours and able to travel out of town as needed
• Working at Heights Certificate (We will pay for a training class if you do not have a valid one)
