If you love working with your hands and providing the fixes of everyday problems then continue reading on

The Job

Each day you will work on scheduled repair projects independently with little supervision while on occasion work with another facility maintenance technician to complete larger repairs. You will receive roughly 3 - 6 work orders a day depending on the size and complexity of the jobs. You will be able to collect needed supplies through the NEW MARDA Inventory Warehouse or select local hardware locations.

The Required Skill Set

A Basic Home Repair Technician will be required to have basic knowledge in the following areas:

  • Drywall Repair: Mudding, Taping, Patching
  • Flooring Repair: Hardwood, Vinyl, Laminate
  • Tiling Repair: Floor, Wall, Backsplash, Ceiling
  • Installations: Cabinets, Counter Tops, Doors, Windows, Sink, Toilet, Vanity, Appliances
  • Carpentry: Trim Work, Molding, Measuring, Cutting and Joining Materials Made of Wood or Wood Substitutes
  • Plumbing (Basic): Fix Leaks, Clogs, Pipes, Appliance
  • Electrical (Basic): Switches, Receptacles, Lighting, Wiring, Appliances

The Other Requirements

  • Must have minimum of 2 years in the home repair industry or similar education or experience
  • Must have your own tools - we do not provide basics
  • Must have your own vehicle and valid license with insurance
  • Must have your own smartphone with a data plan
  • Must obtain and submit police clearance
  • Must be able to work well in a team as well as on your own
  • Must be able to lift equipment over head, bend and carry items of 30 pounds or more

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
