WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Role:

We are looking for a talented Sustaining Project Manager to join our team at CoolIT Systems in Calgary, AB. In this role you will report into the Product department and facilitate the execution of key internal and external sustaining projects. Projects may include the improved manufacturability of our more complex Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs) and Passive Coolant Loops (PCLs), cost-down and second source suppliers, and achievement of high-volume manufacturing ramp. This is a great opportunity for highly skilled Manufacturing and Supply Chain Project Managers with experience in the Advanced Technology sector.

Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance project scope of work, prioritization, and resource planning.
• Management of deliverables for a cross-functional project team of mechanical, electrical, and software designers, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, supply chain, and production.
• Monitoring and control of risks, quality deliverables, and project Key Performance Indicators related to schedule, cost, resource, and quality targets.
• Lead and manage projects removing any roadblocks that get in the way of execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional product development and sustaining teams and ensure best practices are followed.
• Support company continuous improvement projects as needed.
• Measure and report project status using appropriate tools, techniques and metrics.
• Use appropriate change management processes to minimize and report changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
• Hold regular meetings to ensure team members communicate effectively and ensure that all risks are identified and managed in a timely fashion.
• Communicate project status to management and other stakeholders via presentations and project tracking tools.
• May require weekly calls with project teams in the APAC region.

WHO YOU ARE:

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Project Management in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects related to hardware and electromechanical designs
• Some experience managing product development projects, with the majority of Project Management experience being in manufacturing and sustaining projects related to electromechanical designs.
• Proficiency in PLM, PM and ERP systems (especially Arena/SolidWorks Vault, ClickUp/MSProject, NetSuite/Oracle respectively).
• Experience managing continuous improvement projects in a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance or industry standards (ISO 9001).
• Experience with GitHub and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
• PMP Certification
