Job description:
Insight Support Services has a part-time position (potential to become full-time) in an Adult Residential Program. The program supports one individual woman with complex developmental challenges. The position requires working independently (after training) with the client, providing some personal care, social programming and implementing strategies to manage anxiety-based behaviour. The position also includes maintaining the home's cleanliness and safety. This client has a consistent team supporting her, and the applicant must be willing to work both as part of this team and independently.
Applicant must have:
A degree or post-secondary certificate in a related field.
Experience working with adults with complex development disabilities and challenging behavior.
Experience in providing strength-based, relational and trauma-responsive care and support.
Strong written communication skills.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Experience collaborating with teams of professionals on behalf of individuals and families.
A clean Criminal Record check to work with vulnerable individuals.
Driver's license (driver's abstract is required)
Reliable personal vehicle for business use.
Benefits package included if working 20 hrs or more a week

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 80 per week
