Join INTRALOT as a DevOps Engineer
At INTRALOT, we shape the future of gaming through innovation and technology. Our global presence, diverse culture, and dynamic teams set the foundation for a people-first strategy. We're looking for a DevOps Engineer. Are you a passionate professional ready to take the next step in your career? At Intralot Canada we're transforming the gaming industry with scalable, reliable, and cutting-edge systems. Here's your chance to make a difference and grow with a dynamic team that thrives on innovation and collaboration.
Your Role:
As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be part of the team behind always-on, high-performance gaming platforms. You will help ensure that gameplay is seamless, services scale instantly under peak demand, and new features roll out flawlessly - no matter how intense the action gets.
You will operate at the heart of a fully automated, cloud-native environment, using GitOps, IaC, and advanced observability to keep our systems stable, secure, and fast.
Every improvement you make directly enhances the gaming experience.
Your Key Responsibilities
Operate and Optimize Automated Gaming Platforms:
- Maintain a GitOps-driven deployment pipeline using tools like ArgoCD, ensuring fast, secure delivery to production gaming environments.
- Support self-healing, highly available cloud systems designed to handle massive spikes in traffic during events and game launches.
Enhance Performance and Delivery Speed:
Refine CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) to shorten release times, improve rollback safety, and support advanced rollout strategies (canary, blue/green).
- Improve resilience and system performance across real-time gaming workloads.
Cloud & Kubernetes at Scale:
Operate secure, scalable gaming infrastructure on AWS.
- Manage Kubernetes workloads powering multiplayer and transactional systems.
Champion Infrastructure as Code:
- Build and optimize infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, AWS CloudFormation and Ansible-treating everything as versioned, tested, and reviewed code.
- Implement policy-as-code to ensure secure, consistent deployments across regions and regulatory markets.
Strengthen Observability for Real-Time Operations:
- Maintain complete observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, ELK/EFK) designed for real-time issue detection in a high-stakes gaming environment.
- Focus on incident prevention, root-cause learning, and operational excellence (SRE principle).
Support Streaming & Real-Time Systems:
- Assist with operations and monitoring of Kafka-based messaging pipelines powering live draws, real-time game interactions, event streaming, and live dashboards.
Collaborate to Shape the Gaming Experience:
Partner with platform, security, and game development teams to enable fast, safe releases and top-tier game reliability.
What we're looking for:
- College Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Core Experience: 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, CloudOps, or platform roles (gaming or high-availability systems preferred but not required).
Technical Skills:
- Cloud Ops on AWS.
- Automation/Scripting with Python, Bash, or Go.
- Containers & Orchestration: Docker & Kubernetes (EKS and Openshift).
- IaC & GitOps: Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, Ansible.
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bamboo.
- Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Strong Git workflows, code reviews, and automation culture.
Mindset Fit for Gaming:
- Passion for fast, reliable, real-time systems that never go down-even during peak gaming moments.
- Thrives in a high-energy, innovation-driven environment.
- Obsessed with automation, speed, and uptime.
- Great communicator in English (Fluent/Native) and French (Fluent/optionally), able to coordinate across teams delivering thrilling player experiences.
