We're looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as an Assistant / Night Shift Manager. If you take pride in delivering great customer experiences, leading by example, and supporting a smooth-running store, this opportunity is for you

Job Summary

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant / Night Shift Manager oversees evening and weekend operations of our gas station and convenience store. This role ensures exceptional customer service, smooth operations, and effective supervision of up to three team members, while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, handling financial responsibilities, and completing nightly bank deposits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee nightly store operations as the Manager-on-Duty
  • Supervise and mentor up to three staff members, including delegating tasks and managing performance
  • Support the Store Manager with policy enforcement, staff training, and shift communication
  • Complete shift paperwork accurately and ensure all financial procedures are followed according to company standards
  • Conduct nightly bank deposits with accuracy and accountability
  • Ensure all opening and closing procedures are consistently completed in compliance with company policies
  • Deliver excellent customer service, handling inquiries and resolving issues professionally
  • Dispense fuel safely while following company safety protocols
  • Maintain site cleanliness and safety, including pumps, garbage areas, product displays, and walkways
  • Restock coolers, shelves, and exterior displays (washer fluid, motor oil, etc.)

Skills & Qualifications

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Previous gas station or convenience store experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • High integrity and accountability, particularly with financial responsibilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making under pressure
