Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB, for an Employment Coach as part of the Road to Work Program. The Employment Coach will work directly with youth to support their transition into the workforce by providing career counseling, developing individualized employment plans, and offering job coaching. The role involves building relationships, mentoring youth, and facilitating skill development necessary for sustainable employment. The Employment Coach will also collaborate with local employers to identify opportunities and ensure successful job placements.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Job Coaching and Career Counseling, with the ability to guide youth in achieving their employment goals.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills to build trust and connect effectively with youth and stakeholders.
  • Coaching capabilities and experience mentoring or supporting individuals toward professional and personal growth.
  • Knowledge of workforce development, youth services, or outreach programs is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse community, including employers, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience working with youth facing barriers to employment is an advantage.
  • Post-secondary education in Social Services, Human Resources, Education, or a related field is preferred.
