The People Enablement Technology team (Data and Analytics) at lululemon delivers secure, scalable analytical solutions that empower our employees and support strategic business initiatives. We combine modern data platforms like Databricks, MS Fabric, and Snowflake with Agile and DevSecOps practices to build trusted, high-quality data products and integration solutions.

Our mission is to enable cost effective data-driven decision-making for our people by ensuring our solutions are reliable, compliant, optimized and aligned with organizational goals. We work cross-functionally with enterprise engineering, architecture, analytics, and business teams to create meaningful impact through technology.

core responsibilities

  • Platform Ownership & Evolution: Lead the design, development, and long-term roadmap of platform tools and systems that support cross-domain engineering teams.
  • Strategic Technical Leadership: Partner with Principal Architects, Lead Architects, and other key stakeholders to define engineering vision, maturity models, and future-state designs.
  • Engineering Practices & Enablement Maintain and evolve documentation for engineering best practices.
  • Mentorship & Coaching: Act as a technical mentor and coach, elevating the capabilities of engineers across teams through guidance, reviews, and thought leadership.

Innovation, Research & Development: Champion experimentation and forward-thinking approaches that drive long-term technical growth and differentiation. * Delivery Excellence: Ensure high-quality delivery of platform capabilities, balancing speed, reliability, cost optimization and maintainability.

  • Leadership & Influence: Represent engineering in strategic forums, influencing decisions and advocating for scalable, sustainable people technology solutions.

qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks including platform design, optimization, administration and operationalization at scale.
  • Strong background in Data Engineering with expertise in building and maintaining robust data pipelines.
  • High proficiency inCloud Technologies(Azure), SQL, Python with experience deploying and managing cloud-native solutions.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and observability.
  • Experience with Power Bi and Snowflake for data visualization and warehousing.
  • Proven ability to lead platform engineering initiatives and collaborate across architecture, security, and operations.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills to support cross-functional teams and drive engineering best practices.
  • Prior experience working with People Data or HR analytics platforms is a plus.
  • Contributions to engineering communities or open sourcing is a plus.

compensation and benefits package

lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $148,000 - $194,300 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and, subject to program eligibility requirements.
