About the Role
We are looking for a professional, organized, and friendly School Receptionist to be the first point of contact for students, parents, visitors, and staff. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, efficient communication, and a supportive school atmosphere.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing a variety of administrative tasks. As the school continues to grow, there may be opportunities to advance into supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk and Communication
- Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors with professionalism and warmth
- Respond to incoming calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and courteously
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and correspondence in alignment with Ministry requirements
- Support the admissions process through data entry and document management
- Prepare official school documents, reports, letters, and invoices
Office Operations
- Schedule appointments, organize meetings, and support staff with clerical tasks (filing, scanning, copying)
- Monitor and maintain office supply inventory and coordinate orders
Community Liaison
- Communicate with parents, guardians, and agents regarding attendance and school updates
- Facilitate information flow between teachers, students, and families
Other Duties
- Provide general administrative support to ensure efficient day-to-day school operations
Qualifications
Required
- 1–2 years of administrative or reception experience (school or education setting preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, welcoming demeanor
Assets
- Experience working with international students or in an educational environment
- Multilingual ability (Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, etc.)
- Diploma or certificate in Office Administration or a related field
Work Conditions
- Fast paced, student focused office environment
- Requires accuracy, discretion, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- On-site position at our Toronto campus
