About the Role

We're looking for a Product Manager to join Workday's Machine Learning Platform organization — the team responsible for building the core foundation that powers intelligent experiences across the Workday suite.

In this role, you'll define and drive the strategy for our next-generation ML platform — shaping the infrastructure, tools, and services that enable hundreds of ML practitioners and product teams to innovate responsibly and at scale. You'll partner with engineering, data science, and security to make Workday's ML platform more efficient, reliable, and developer-friendly, while ensuring our models meet the highest standards for quality, performance, and trust.

If you're passionate about bridging technical depth with product vision — and enabling thousands of models to impact millions of users — this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Define the roadmap for Workday's Machine Learning platform, focusing on scalability, observability, model lifecycle management, and developer experience.
  • Partner closely with engineering leaders and ML teams to design platform capabilities that accelerate the delivery of AI-powered features across Workday.
  • Translate complex infrastructure and data science needs into clear product requirements and measurable success outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning ML tooling, feature stores, model evaluation, governance, and production deployment.
  • Drive alignment across product, engineering, security, and compliance teams to ensure Workday's AI/ML solutions are ethical, explainable, and trustworthy.
  • Champion platform adoption across internal teams through clear communication, documentation, and education.
  • Use data to inform prioritization, continuously balancing speed, scale, and quality.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including 2+ years in platform, infrastructure, or ML/AI-related products.
  • Proven track record of shipping platform capabilities that support multiple internal or external product teams.
  • Familiarity with modern ML toolchains (e.g., feature stores, model registries, deployment frameworks, monitoring, and observability).

Other Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of the ML lifecycle — from experimentation and model training to deployment, evaluation, and retraining.
  • Experience driving cross-functional alignment in large, distributed engineering organizations.
  • Excellent communication and partnership management skills; able to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic problem solver who can balance long-term platform vision with near-term delivery goals.
  • Prior experience with SaaS or enterprise-scale data platforms a plus.
  • Passion for building reliable, ethical, and human-centered AI systems.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we're combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
