Apprentice Glazier

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team or someone who would like to try a new career that has multi levels beyond just glass. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation and repair, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. As a new person to the industry we are looking for someone with good work ethics and mechanical aptitude to work with and learn from our experienced team.

DUTIES

• On site teaching and learning of trade and related skills.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install glass and glazing materials in, windows, doors, and other glass related products.
• Fabricate and install metal frameworks for glass installation

• Repair or replace damaged glass in various settings such as residential, commercial, or industrial buildings

• and more.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency with hand tools used in the trade
• Ability to plumb and align glass panes and frames correctly during installation
• Knowledge of other construction trades and how they relate to glazing is a plus
• Good math skills especially in relation to fractions without need for a calculator.
• Ability to restore or build various types of glass structures
