Vandermeer Toyota is currently seeking a Finance Manager to cover a Maternity Leave position for 12 – 14 months, starting late December 2025. This is a great opportunity for an individual who wants to gain experience as a Finance Manager, supported by a great leadership team This is also a great opportunity for an individual with a wealth of experience as a Finance Manager who is looking for flexible hours. Depending on the candidate and their experience, this role may be more administrative focused with minimal selling – this will be discussed at the time of interview

Summary of Position:

The Financial Manager acts as liaison between financial institutions and our customers and ensures that all required documentation needed for ownership and warranty is completed correctly. In this high-impact role, you'll take charge of the Finance & Insurance (F&I) process—helping customers navigate vehicle financing, protection plans, and insurance options with confidence, clarity, and care.

Responsibilities

  • Educate customers on finance & lease options and terms
  • Educate customers on available insurance & aftermarket products and be transparent with pricing and benefits
  • Drive aftersales revenue and close deals amicably & transparently
  • Coordinate deliveries with the sales department and drive vehicle activation & delivery metrics
  • Coordinate installation of aftermarket products & services
  • Be bold in investigating customers' needs and find ways to meet them

Required Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge with computers. Experience with PBS is an asset.
  • Strong telephone, email & text communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and excellent attention to detail
  • Valid G Class Ontario Drivers License with clean drivers abstract
  • One of: 4+ years in an automotive dealership in a sales or finance role OR 4+ years in an administrative role
  • OMVIC license (to be discussed if candidate doesn't currently have this)

Schedule

  • Rotating schedule, to be discussed at time of interview. Flexibility in hours is an option.

Compensation

  • Hourly rate plus bonus. Compensation will be based on candidates experience and role.
