Stafingo is hiring for one of our reputable clients in the public sector in Toronto for a
Senior Project Manager
role. This is an excellent opportunity to lead key initiatives focused on health system modernization and digital transformation efforts.

Contract Start:
November 2025

Hourly Rate:
Competitive (depending on skills and experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with extensive experience in managing large, complex projects within the public sector or similar environments. The successful candidate will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic organizational goals. This role involves managing multiple stakeholders, vendor relationships, and ensuring project milestones are met within scope, schedule, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive project planning activities, defining scope, timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with external vendors and consulting partners, ensuring contractual and strategic objectives are met.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement through clear communication, progress updates, and strategic reporting to executive leadership.
  • Establish and oversee project governance frameworks, including issue resolution, change control, and performance tracking.
  • Manage project resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of all project phases within approved budgets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of proven experience managing large-scale, strategic initiatives, preferably within the public or healthcare sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in managing external vendors and consultancy engagements, ensuring compliance and alignment with project objectives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience delivering presentations and status reports to senior leadership.
  • PMP certification
    and a strong understanding of PMI's PMBOK methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex project portfolios.
  • Experience in digital transformation projects, system integrations, or enterprise process improvement initiatives.
  • Skilled in developing clear and compelling project documentation and status updates.
