Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandising & Vendor Data Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing vendor relationships, ensuring merchandising excellence, and supporting cross-functional operations across e-commerce, retail, and marketing channels.

You will serve as the primary liaison between vendors and internal teams, overseeing product data integrity, vendor compliance, and merchandising readiness. Your contributions will directly impact product visibility, operational efficiency, and customer experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Vendor Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for vendors, facilitating communication on orders, deliveries, and product updates.
  • Oversee vendor onboarding and maintain accurate vendor records.
  • Monitor vendor performance and apply chargebacks when necessary.
  • Support invoice reconciliation and resolve billing/shipping discrepancies.

Merchandising Operations

  • Coordinate product setup and updates in ERP and merchandising systems.
  • Manage product data and imagery to meet brand standards and optimize e-commerce performance.
  • Assist in product launches and promotional readiness.
  • Collaborate with marketing and planning teams to align product strategies and inventory.
  • Maintain visual merchandising documentation and manage the on-site Merchandising Studio.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Maintain trackers for product and vendor data submissions.
  • Generate regular reports on vendor status, product performance, and compliance.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to inform pricing and assortment strategies.

Trade Show Participation

  • Attend industry trade shows to stay informed on market trends and vendor offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post Secondary education in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a role with a similar scope / responsibility
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with marketing, planning, logistics, and finance teams.
  • Head office retail experience is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power BI, Power Automate); experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an asset.
  • Experience using generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms and SEO best practices is an asset.
  • Background in visual merchandising is preferred.
