THE ROLE

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

• Operate in-house washer and dryers,
• Wash, dry and fold towels, linen, and uniforms,
• Count, sort and record clean linen and tablecloths as noted on the distribution form,
• Assist with the pickup and return delivery of laundry to and from other properties,
• Check laundered articles to ensure that established standards are met,
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of hotel safety and security procedures as required in order to maintain a secure and safe environment for guests and hotels,
• And other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements/Ideal Candidate:

• Alberta class 5 driver's license and clean driving abstract,
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time,
• Work independently without supervision,
• Visually check work, work area, and hotel spaces,
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs,
• Frequent kneeling, pushing, and pulling,
• Previous experience is an asset,
• English language skills enough to engage guests in conversations,
• Deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner,
• Communicate with all managers, supervisors and fellow associates,
• Well groomed and conform to hotel dress code.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.50-$19.00 per hour
