Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Perform Component and fitting welds including all material grades to WPS and ABSA guidelines
- Assist with the communication and coordination of customer orders with supervisor and planning department
- Operate and maintain all welding equipment.
- Assist with all QT report forms for quality control and shipping/receiving as required.
- Have a working knowledge of fabrication layout, measuring and fitting with jigs.
- Operate welding positioners up to 25 tones
- Operate overhead cranes and be knowledgeable on proper rigging requirements
- Assist with paperwork requirements on job orders, activity logbook, and associated documents.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow and enforce established safety procedures.
- All other assigned or associated tasks and duties to help meet or exceed the customer expectations and company goals set forth from your supervisor.
Qualification Requirements (Minimum Education and Experience):
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) considered an asset.
- 6 years related experience and/or training considered an asset.
- Journeyman welding designation within the Province of Alberta or Red Seal is required.
- Valid Alberta B Pressure Certificate is required.

- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
HSE Requirements (Training and Physical Requirements):
- Shop environment, warehouse and working indoors. Possibility of being exposed to dust, fumes, or gases.
- Possible physical requirements: squatting, bending, lifting, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, reaching, twisting, crawling, climbing, ladder work, and working near moving equipment.
- First aid, forklift, overhead crane, TDG, H2S Alive, Fall Arrest, and confined space training is beneficial to this role.
- Required to wear steel toe boots, safety glasses or side shields, and ear protection. Task pending face shield and/or ventilation mask required.
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Training (completed in-house)
- HSE Orientation (completed in-house)
- Forklift Training (completed in-house)
- Lifting and Rigging Training (completed in-house)
