Job Overview
Select Building Maintenance is looking for a reliable, and experienced Live-In Building Superintendent to join our team and oversee a well-maintained residential property in Scarborough.
This is a live-in position that includes a rent-free two-bedroom apartment and one parking spot, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who values stability, convenience, and community.
Fluency in Cantonese is required as many residents communicate in Cantonese.
As the on-site Superintendent, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all tenants. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting daily building inspections
- Performing general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, painting, cleaning, etc.)
- Responding quickly to tenant requests and emergency situations
- Maintaining cleanliness of common areas, hallways, and exterior spaces
- Managing garbage and recycling programs
- Coordinating with property management and external contractors
What We're Looking For
- Fluent in Cantonese (mandatory)
- Prior experience as a Superintendent
- Basic understanding of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically capable and willing to be on-call for emergencies
Compensation & Benefits
- $21.00 per hour
