The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will support the regional Talent Acquisition function and team in business unit hiring, with a focus on trades and field recruitment across multiple projects and provinces. This role ensures timely and efficient recruitment to meet fluctuating workforce demands while supporting workforce mobility and operational goals.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Workforce Managers to understand fluctuating workforce requirements across multiple projects and provinces.
  • Post job ads, source candidates, screen applicants, support selection and hiring processes for trades and field roles.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of candidates, track communications, and ensure follow-up throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate and attend recruitment events, job fairs, and community engagement activities to attract skilled trades talent.
  • Maintain a database of current and past candidates and ensure accurate documentation of recruitment activity.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, labour laws, union agreements, and best practices in trades recruitment.
  • Manage applicant tracking systems (ATS) to track candidate activity and recruitment metrics.
  • Maintain and create job descriptions in collaboration with HR and Workforce Managers.
  • Support multiple business units, projects, and locations, ensuring compliance with provincial labour laws and internal policies.
  • Manage high-volume recruitment requests while maintaining timely communication with candidates and hiring teams.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in trades recruitment or related industry experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience would be an asset.
  • Strong understanding of union agreements, provincial labour laws, and workforce requirements across multiple locations.
  • Proven ability to manage a large number of recruitment requests simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with ATS management, including Workday and transitioning to SuccessFactors.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific software, digital recruitment tools, and social media sourcing.
  • Willingness to attend recruitment events, job fairs, and community engagement initiatives.
