Maintenance Manager – Port Browning Marina Resort (Pender Island, BC)

Join our team at Port Browning Marina Resort We're seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep and operations of our beautiful waterfront property. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across multiple trades and a proactive attitude toward maintaining high standards for safety, functionality, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee daily maintenance of facilities, docks, and resort grounds.

· Operate and maintain water treatment and septic systems in compliance with environmental standards.

· Manage landscaping and property beautification efforts.

· Perform and coordinate general building repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.).

· Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules.

· Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate with outside contractors.

· Track inventory, order supplies, and manage budgets.

· Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

· 3–5 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management (hospitality/marina experience preferred).

· Strong technical knowledge of water treatment, septic, and mechanical systems.

· Experience in landscaping and general property maintenance.

· Excellent leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

· Valid driver's license; boat operation experience is an asset.

Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP):

· Wastewater Treatment Plant – Class I certification (or higher), or Operator-in-Training (OIT) actively pursuing Wastewater Treatment I.

· Small Water System certification or Water Distribution Level I certification, depending on eligibility.

· Candidates holding a Multi-Utility (Water & Wastewater) certification will be prioritized.

Compensation:

· $75k to 80k based on on experience
