About the role
We are looking for a seasoned and detail-oriented individual to lead the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Finance Transformation and Systems team. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile transformation team, ensuring successful delivery and long-term impact of finance projects.
What you'll do here:
Lead the PMO function, embedding the established governance procedures
Driving out the use of JIRA and associated processes to ensure transparency and governance over project delivery
Portfolio management to track project progress, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and escalating risks where necessary.
Request and review reports and project documentation from leads and project managers.
Manage stakeholder communication and reporting at both programme and project levels, ensuring transparency and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
Align projects with overall business objectives, identifying opportunities for additional business development and strategic alignment.
Championing continuous improvement, lessons learned, and operational efficiency across the portfolio
Resource and capacity management of internal and external resources
Manage project budgets and forecasts for the Finance Transformation and Systems team
Manage interdepartmental project visibility
Management of vendor alignment to delivery methodology
What you bring to the table:
Minimum 8 years expertise in portfolio management, resource management, and risk mitigation – is required
Minimum 5 years experience leading and managing direct reports – is required
PMP designation
Experience managing JIRA – is required
Experience managing large project budgeting and forecasting – is required
Ability to manage cross-functional teams and workstream leads in a complex finance and technology environment
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive achieving strategic objectives
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on delivering results under tight timeframes
Experience communicating KPIs, roadmaps & priority planning to upper management
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
