Quality Assurance Specialist (FAIs)

Employment type: Contract

Length of contract: 6+ months

Location: Fort Erie, ON

Objective:
Perform a specific quality related function within the Company's quality program, in order to support continuous operations of the Quality department and ensure success of the department in meeting its goals.

The following reflects the principal duties and shall not be construed as a detailed description of all work requirements.

  1. Develop and create AS 9102 First Article Inspection Reports to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards
  2. Assist with the completion of comprehensive first article inspections of newly manufactured components or assemblies to verify compliance with design specifications, customer requirements, and applicable standards.
  3. Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to understand product requirements and inspection criteria.
  4. Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including deviations, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.
  5. Assist with the creation of detailed part inspection plans to assist with the ongoing inspection of production parts.
  6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes, streamline workflows, and optimize quality control procedures.
  7. Maintain detailed records of inspection activities, including documentation of FAI reports, measurement data, and inspection plans.
  8. Analyze inspection data and quality metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for improvement, as may be needed to support the Quality Department.
  9. Collaborate with planning, production, engineering, and other relevant departments to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent future defects in support of the Quality Department.
  10. Develop and implement effective corrective action plans (CAPs) to address identified issues
  11. Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actionsto ensure issuesare resolved permanently.
  12. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure corrective actions are executed timely and effectively
  13. Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, process efficiency and customer satisfaction
