OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex enterprise and technology initiatives. In this role, you will oversee projects from initiation through completion, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Strong leadership, communication, and execution skills will be critical to driving delivery, managing risk, and supporting organizational change.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:
- Plan, lead, coordinate, and oversee the delivery of large, complex enterprise and technology initiatives, including AML program implementation
- Identify program and project milestones, critical success factors, dependencies, and resource requirements
- Proactively identify, monitor, and mitigate risks while ensuring project issues are resolved or escalated appropriately; maintain accurate tracking of risks, issues, and delivery status
- Engage stakeholders through frequent, in-person interactions, ensuring transparency in delivery progress, risks, issues, and key decisions
- Lead initiatives involving significant regulatory, operational, and organizational change within a start-up environment
- Coordinate and collaborate effectively with regulators, legal counsel, technology teams, operators, vendors, and executive leadership
- Manage project budgets and ensure alignment between project deliverables and expected business outcomes
- Negotiate changes in scope, schedule, and budget with project sponsors and steering committees
- Develop and deliver clear, concise written and verbal communications, including executive- and board-level materials
- Provide proactive leadership and direction to project delivery teams while fostering collaboration and accountability
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:
- More than five years of experience in a Senior Project Manager role managing large, complex enterprise or custom software initiatives
- Demonstrated experience establishing project foundations, including charters, roadmaps, schedules, and risk management frameworks
- Experience establishing strong project foundations, including project charters, roadmaps, Gantt charts, governance models, and risk frameworks
- Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, start-up, and regulatory environments
- Demonstrated experience managing initiatives with multiple stakeholder communities across jurisdictions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and executive audiences
- Ability to lead frequent, face-to-face stakeholder engagements and manage expectations in high-accountability environments
- Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certificate in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
ASSETS:
- Experience working in regulated environments such as AML, compliance, financial services, gaming, or the public sector, along with experience developing change management deliverables (e.g., change strategies and stakeholder engagement plans).
- Hands-on experience with formal project management tools, including MS Project
- Active PMP or PgMP certification
