Patio Plus & The Pool Place is looking for a friendly, reliable Seasonal Retail Store Associate to join our team for the busy pool season. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with customers, learning about new products, and being part of a small local business.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and identify customer needs
  • Perform water testing and explain results (training provided)
  • Help customers select pool and hot tub chemicals, parts, and accessories
  • Explain products and services to customers
  • Answer basic product and maintenance questions (training provided)
  • Operate the POS system (Square) for sales and returns
  • Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
  • Stock shelves, receive shipments, and maintain store organization and cleanliness
  • Enter and process customer orders
  • Keep the retail space clean, safe, and welcoming
  • Work as part of a team to support a busy seasonal environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields is an asset (but not required)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build rapport with customers
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to lift up to ~40 lbs (chemical pails, boxes, etc.)
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods
  • Pool or hot tub knowledge is an asset (but not required — we train you)

Schedule & Season

  • Seasonal position from now through September
  • Part-time or full-time hours available
  • Weekday and Saturday availability required
  • Great fit for students or those looking for seasonal work
