Position Overview:

We're looking for a part-time barista with solid experience in specialty coffee who is eager to transition into Toronto's upscale restaurant scene. This is a great opportunity for a talented barista to bring their craft to a high-energy brunch environment while learning the flow and standards of elevated dining service.

You'll work alongside our front-of-house and bar teams to deliver consistent, high-quality beverages that complement our brunch menu and match the standard of the Berczy experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality coffee and espresso beverages with consistency
  • Operate and maintain espresso machines and grinder equipment
  • Support brunch service by managing drink tickets efficiently
  • Assist with light prep, restocking, and maintaining cleanliness of the barista station
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through friendly and attentive service
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain smooth brunch operations
  • Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards

Qualifications:

  • Previous barista experience in a café or restaurant setting (1–2 years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of espresso extraction, milk steaming, and coffee service standards
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced brunch environment
  • Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude
  • Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
  • Interest in hospitality and elevated dining
  • Smart Serve certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
