What you'll be doing
The Medical Facility Volunteer will have the opportunity to learn in a real-life setting what skills and modalities are used to support people dealing with life issues including homelessness. By interacting with the clients, through coversation, cards, board games, music etc at Cambridge Shelter's Medical Facility, they will gain valuable experience. Especially beneficial for those pursuing a career in Human Services, Health Care or Social Services. Volunteer's will be under the supervision of Facility staff and assist in duties deemd appropriate by their supervisor. The Volunteer Shift is 2 to 3 hours once a week and will work with the volunteers schedule.
