Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to students' age and skill levels
  • Prepare lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods and musical styles
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback
  • Organize and lead performances, recitals, or group activities to showcase student talents
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and staff to support student development
  • Incorporate additional activities such as basic craft or classroom projects when appropriate to enhance learning experiences
  • Maintain classroom organization and ensure all musical equipment is properly cared for

Requirements

  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching music to children or early learners
  • Strong background in music theory, instrument instruction, or vocal training
  • Experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings
  • Classroom experience is preferred, especially in early childhood education environments
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
  • A nurturing attitude with patience and enthusiasm for teaching young learners

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal, Freelance, Apprenticeship

Contract length: 6 -12 months

Pay: $18.80-$35.00 per hour
