Position Overview

The Fitness Experience Concierge
plays a key role in elevating the member experience and maintaining the operational excellence of One Health Clubs' fitness facilities.

This role combines member engagement, fitness knowledge, and organizational precision. As the friendly, knowledgeable presence on the floor, the Concierge helps members get the most out of their workouts—demonstrating proper equipment use, guiding them through Biostrength technology, and highlighting the features of the club's new cardio and strength systems.

Members can also book 15-minute appointment timeslots with the Concierge for personalized support, including equipment demos, form checks, or walkthroughs of new features.

Beyond member interaction, the Concierge ensures all fitness areas are clean, safe, organized, and fully equipped. They manage equipment inventory, coordinate repairs, and help maintain the professional presentation of the fitness floor.

Key Responsibilities

Member Engagement & Support

• Deliver an exceptional on-floor experience by greeting and engaging with members daily.
• Demonstrate safe and effective use of all strength and cardio equipment, including Biostrength technology.
• Host and manage bookable 15-minute appointments to provide personalized instruction and equipment setup.
• Recommend and book members for InBody scans, Starting Point sessions, and group fitness classes.
• Help onboard new members, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident on the fitness floor.
• Create a positive, professional, and motivating atmosphere that aligns with One Health Clubs' values.

Equipment & Facility Management

• Maintain a detailed and accurate inventory of all fitness equipment and accessories (bands, mats, dumbbells, TRX straps, BOSUs, etc.).
• Perform daily inspections to ensure equipment is safe, functional, and properly stored.
• Implement and manage daily checklists for cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and replacements as needed.
• Ensure the fitness floor remains organized and re-racked throughout the day.
• Collaborate with the fitness and maintenance teams to meet operational needs for upcoming programs.

Purchasing & Resource Coordination

• Research and source high-quality fitness equipment and accessories.
• Maintain inventory levels and implement efficient reorder systems.
• Build and manage vendor relationships to ensure reliability and cost efficiency.
• Support the Director of Fitness in forecasting, budgeting, and equipment purchasing decisions.

Technology, Promotion & Collaboration

• Demonstrate the club's fitness technology and educate members on tracking tools and digital platforms.
• Promote One Health Clubs' programs, classes, and wellness initiatives.
• Gather and communicate member feedback to management for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Fitness, Personal Training, and Member Services teams to drive engagement and satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of exercise technique, equipment use, and safe training practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a positive, approachable attitude.
• Comfortable using technology, including Biostrength and cardio interfaces.
• Experience in gym operations, fitness instruction, or hospitality preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Fitness-related education or certification (CPT, CSEP, ACE, NASM, etc.) an asset.

Compensation & Growth

• Hourly Pay Range:
  $28 – $32 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

  Performance-based increases or progression into Senior Fitness Experience Concierge or Floor Operations Lead roles as the department expands.

Availability

• This is a
  full-time position averaging 42.5 hours per week.
• The role requires morning, evening, and weekend availability
  to support the ongoing operations and scheduling needs of the club.
• Flexibility is essential to accommodate equipment deliveries, maintenance coordination, and event preparation as required.
