Duties:

The Senior Developer is accountable for developing and maintaining business applications to meet the needs of Departments by interpreting specifications for coding, testing and supporting the applications in accordance with Government of Manitoba ICT Standards and Architecture. The Senior Developer provides functional coaching, mentoring and quality assurance reviews to Developers to ensure all standards are met. The Senior Developer has overall responsibility for the maintenance and support of 5 to 15 applications. On an annual basis the Senior Developer may coordinate the resolution of between 100 and 200 incidents, the implementation of new releases, and respond to 50 to 150 requests.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• A Post-Secondary degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education/training (such as an advanced diploma or certificate in Information Technology/Computer Science) and related experience may be considered.
• Experience in systems analysis,design methodologies, application development and testing in a multi-platform networked enviornment.
• Experience in installation and technical trouble shooting of applications and devices.
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, DB2, or other relational databases.
• Experience creating and maintaining Dynamics 365, Power Pages, and Power Automate solutions.
• Experience with Low Code / No Code solutions
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to create reports and related documents in a clear and concise manner.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear and organized manner to a variety of stakeholders.

Desired:

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and/or other business intelligence solutions
• Experience with Portal technology; in particular self-serve capabilities.
• Experience with Salesforce platforms.
