Be a Voice for Consumer Protection in the Home Building Industry
Are you passionate about consumer protection and interested in making a difference in the new home building industry? Join the Home Construction Regulatory Authority's (HCRA) Consumer Advisory Council (CAC)
Your Role and Impact:
The CAC plays a vital role in providing independent, non-partisan advice to the HCRA's Board of Directors on issues that matter to new home buyers. As a member, you'll help shape consumer-focused approaches to awareness, engagement, and service delivery, contributing to a more informed and confident marketplace where buyers are protected and empowered.

Who We're Looking For:
We're seeking a candidate with experience in any one of the following areas to fill one vacancy on the CAC:
New home buyer (freehold or condominium) Member of a condominium board Real estate agent Real estate law Chief building official or home inspector (retired or active)Consumer advocacy

The Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA) acknowledges that we are on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. HCRA also acknowledges that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.

The personal information you provide is being collected as authorised by the terms of the New Home Construction Licensing Act, 2017 ("NHCLA") and the Administrative Agreement between the Home Construction Regulatory Authority ("HCRA") the Minister of Government and Consumer Services (now Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement). The Access and Privacy Code under this Agreement governs the collection, use, disclosure, and retention of this information by the HCRA.
The information will be used to determine your qualifications for employment with the HCRA and is necessary to the HCRA's administration of the NHCLA.
