Virtual Chief Center Operator

At Kumon, we are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential through our proven learning method. The Chief Center Operator plays a key role in the day-to-day execution and support of virtual center operations, working under the direction of the Center Instructor (CCI). This role is ideal for someone who is eager to grow, contribute operationally, and support center success in a remote setting. This is a Full-Time hourly position.
Key Responsibilities
Support the daily operations of assigned Virtual Company-Owned Centers under the guidance of the CCI.
Conduct parent orientation and assessment meetings, including follow-up communication and ongoing family support.
Assist with lesson planning and managing enrollment growth within assigned subject and enrollment targets.
Support instructional quality by monitoring virtual classes, assisting with device checks, and ensuring students and families understand virtual learning tools (e.g., Zoom, Kumon Connect).
Collaborate with CCI to ensure compliance with Kumon instructional, operational, and customer service standards.
Communicate effectively with families, instructors, and CCI to address questions, concerns, and operational needs.
Support center scheduling, coordination, and administrative tasks related to virtual center operations.
Participate in training, meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree required; degree in education or a related field preferred.
Experience working with students, families, or educational services; prior Kumon experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work effectively in a virtual, remote environment, including comfort with video conferencing platforms and digital tools.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts clearly to families and students.
Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to follow direction, execute plans, and collaborate closely with leadership.
Spanish language fluency preferred for candidates supporting EFL populations (based on center needs).
Alignment with the Kumon mission and a strong student-first mindset.
Additional Notes
This role is virtual, and candidates may be located anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.
Travel requirements are minimal but may include occasional attendance at company meetings, trainings, or instructor conferences.
