- Receives bids from Branch/Sales staff and reviews them to determine what materials and equipment will be needed.
- Submits to the branch a Bill of Materials outlining what is needed for the bid.
- Provides sales support and customer service to customers who come into the location and via the telephone. Discusses product requirements and expectations with customers and recommends specific products and solutions.
- Recommends alternate products based on the customer's budget/cost, availability, or specifications.
- Presents projected pricing and terms in accordance with ICONIX policies and procedures and the customer's profile.
- Provides estimates/quotations in support of sales.
- Proactively provides product information and recommends items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction, improve profitability, and generate leads. Additionally, increases sales by cross-selling, up-selling, and offering promotional sale items.
- Educates customers about the features and benefits of ICONIX service and products.
- Prepares product for will-call customers and takes payments from customers at ICONIX location.
- Processes customer orders and performs order data entry.

- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to speak clearly and understandably on the telephone.
- Ability to communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders.
- Ability to work with difficult customers and resolve problems and issues.
- Competency with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, MS Project, and Outlook.
- Solid math skills for invoicing.
Who We're Looking For
- Post-secondary education.
- Minimum two years of waterworks or construction sales experience or in lieu of experience a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations or related field.
- Demonstrable knowledge of waterworks/construction-type products and materials.
