Duties

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly to obtain high-quality images.
  • Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.
  • Capture diagnostic images that meet physician specifications for accurate diagnosis.
  • Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, including patient information and imaging results.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of imaging equipment through routine checks and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care during imaging procedures.
  • Follow all regulatory guidelines and safety standards related to radiologic practices.

Skills

  • Proficiency in operating X-ray machinery with attention to detail for high-quality imaging.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret physician orders and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate patient care and address patient concerns comfortably.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards.
  • Certification or licensure as an X-ray Technician is required, along with current knowledge of radiation safety protocols.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with digital imaging systems and familiarity with healthcare software systems. This position is integral to delivering accurate diagnostics and enhancing patient outcomes, requiring a professional who is both technically skilled and compassionate in their approach.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $28.74-$44.37 per hour
