The Opportunity

We are currently seeking two Architectural Designers / Drafters with strong residential experience in Ontario to join our team.

This role is ideal for a technically strong drafter who is confident producing permit-ready residential drawings and working with clients, municipalities, and consultants. You will be responsible for preparing complete drawing packages for new houses, additions, secondary suites, garden suites, and multi-unit residential conversions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits and prepare as-built drawings
  • Prepare concept drawings for client review
  • Develop complete permit drawing sets in compliance with the Ontario Building Code (Part 9) and municipal zoning by-laws
  • Prepare drawings and documentation for building permits, minor variances, severances, and Committee of Adjustment applications
  • Work on residential projects including new custom homes, additions and renovations, basement legalization, additional dwelling units (ADUs), garden suites, and single-family to multi-unit conversions

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Architecture or Architectural Technology
  • 3+ years of residential architectural drafting experience (Ontario projects required)
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (Part 9) and municipal zoning regulations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (required), SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Valid Ontario G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
