Your Opportunity
One Permanent Full Time Position.
The Senior Leand, Finance Optimization is responsible for leading the identification, development, implementation, and monitoring of optimization initiatives across finance processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, while maintaining accounting and financial reporting regulatory requirements.
You will contribute to our team by:
Finance Process Optimization
Identifying and implementing opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes (e.g., GL close, reconciliations, reporting).
Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve data integrity, reduce manual effort, and enhance reporting capabilities.
Collaborate with IT and finance teams to implement enabling technologies (e.g., ERP enhancements, automation tools).
Monitoring initiatives post-implementation to ensure benefits are realized.
Internal Controls
Ensure strong internal controls over financial reporting are maintained throughout the lifecycle of an optimization initiative.
Governance & Risk Management
Conduct risk assessments and control evaluations for new systems, processes, and organizational changes.
Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to senior finance leadership on optimization matters.
Lead and mentor a team of analysts or specialists, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Strong project management, vendor management and change management capabilities.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, oversight committees, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
What you will bring to the role:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in process redesign, automation, and analytics.
Proven track record in finance process transformation.
Experience in a publicly traded company or regulated industry (e.g., energy, utilities, financial services) is preferred.
Strong project management and stakeholder engagement experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools.
Experience with automation tools (e.g., BlackLine) and data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to act as a change agent, think strategically and work collaboratively and demonstrate resilience in navigating change.
Working Conditions:
Hybrid: work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office Tuesday – Thursday. Office hours are 8am – 5pm.
Minimal travel requirements.
Additional Details:
This position will remain open until a suitable candidate is found.
