Royal Kitchen Catering Inc. is a premium catering company expanding its operations with a dedicated takeout division. We are seeking a highly organized, hands-on, and customer-focused Kitchen Manager to lead our takeout operations and ensure excellence in food quality, packaging, and customer service.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, communicates clearly with both customers and kitchen staff, and takes pride in delivering a smooth, professional, and premium takeout experience from phone call to pickup or delivery.
You will be responsible for managing takeout orders, handling customer calls, supervising packaging standards, and ensuring the kitchen is fully prepared and operating at peak efficiency at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Takeout Operations & Order Management
- Handle all incoming takeout phone calls and online orders professionally
- Accurately take, confirm, and process customer orders
- Communicate orders clearly to kitchen staff
- Ensure orders are prepared on time and correctly
Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service with a polite, professional, and solution-oriented attitude
- Resolve customer concerns or issues promptly
- Ensure a positive experience for every customer interaction
Packaging & Quality Control
- Oversee all food packaging to ensure accuracy, cleanliness, labeling, and presentation
- Ensure proper portioning, sealing, and packaging standards are met
- Perform final order checks before pickup or delivery
Kitchen Readiness & Inventory
- Ensure the kitchen is fully stocked with ingredients, packaging supplies, and equipment
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages in advance
- Coordinate with suppliers and management for restocking needs
Team Coordination
- Support and guide kitchen and takeout staff during service hours
- Maintain efficient workflow between front-of-house and kitchen teams
- Ensure staff follow hygiene, safety, and quality standards
Operations & Reporting
- Track daily takeout volume and issues
- Report operational needs or improvements to management
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in takeout preparation areas
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience in kitchen management, food service supervision, or takeout operations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience handling phone orders and POS/order systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail, especially for order accuracy and packaging quality
- Professional attitude and reliability
- Experience in catering or high-volume kitchens is a strong asset
